Read Article →
Hey guys! So in this second part of the fashion haul post, I will show you guys more close-up shots of the accessories and me trying them on. Read part 1 here. Please enjoy!

Stradivarius Mint Gemstone Necklace

Love the colour combination and how contrasting the necklace is from my black hair and jumper. Beautiful piece and even prettier tried on.

 Lovisa Black Collar Necklace

A very simple collar necklace that adds a bit of excitement in a plain outfit. Lovisa has a ton of similar designs so I love going there to gain inspiration on how to style my accesories.

 Lovisa 5-pc Earring Set

Really cute earrings appropriate for any occasion.

 Bershka Neon Yellow Hair Clip

I think this is a very unique piece because I have never seen a neon yellow one before. I've seen gold and silver ones online but this neon piece really attracted me. And I like how practical and simple this is to use.

Let me know in the comments below which pieces are your favourite! If you have not read part 1, go read it now! Giveaway ends in 1 day, so hurry up and join if you haven't already entered. [Link to giveaway] I'll see you in my next post! Cheers :D

Hannah

July Fashion Haul [I] | Zara, Stradivarius

Read Article →

Hey guys! It's time for a monthly fashion haul post of items that I got during the month of July. This month, I got a handful of stuff so I'll let the pictures do the talk. Since I've prepared so many photos, I decided to split the haul into 2 parts, so head over to part II to see me try on the accessories and more close-ups shots!

I'll start off with accessories before the apparels...

Top row : Stradivarius Mint Gemstone Necklace, Lovisa Black Collar Necklace, Mango Gold Clear Belt
Bottom row : F21 Metallic Braided Hairband, Lovisa 5-pc Earring Set, Bershka Neon Yellow Hair Clip

Stradivarius Mint Gemstone Necklace - How attractive is this necklace! I knew I had to get it the moment I saw it and it looks even better on [part II]. I even went to different Stradivarius outlets to find them because many are damaged in the packaging (the linkages are quite flimsy). It was on sale for S$19.90 original price being S$35.90. Great for giving an outfit a pop of colour, jazzing up a LBD or even to a fancy event.

Lovisa Black Collar Necklace - a subtle statement necklace, I would wear this over a plain white tee and some back skinnies and I'm ready for school/work. It is quite a heavy piece and adds something extra to a ordinary top. On sale for S$15 original price was S$38.

Mango Gold Clear Belt - I like unique looking belts, and this definitely suited my style. It has a clear plastic band as the body and gold metal studs on the edges. M was a little too snug and L is too long so I do have to give this a trim. Original price was S$45 and was reduced to S$25.

F21 Metallic Braided Hairband - I have worn this so many times over the past 2 weeks. This goes really well with black hair, not so much with brown hair because I tried it on my friend who has brown hair and it looked terrible. Really nice quality, not too tight nor too loose, and for S$8, it is a pretty good deal.

Lovisa 5-pc Earring Set - S$5 for a 5 piece earring set? It can't get any cheaper than that! And I love all the pieces especially the square stud and the star ones. They feel really sturdy so hopefully they can last for quite some time. Original price was S$13.

Bershka Neon Yellow Hair Clip - A great addition to my very limited collection of hair accessories. Since I'm venturing into darker colours, neon is a great way to brighten up darker outfits. Original price was S$11.90 & was reduced to S$7.90.

On to apparels...

H&M

I got 2 black jumpers from H&M, one the left is a sheer leopard pattern jumper. It is very flattering on, just a simple piece for everyday wear. Reduced from S$24 to S$15. On the right is a net knit jumper which is very popular this season. I know ASOS and River Island have a very similar design. It looks very slouchy and oversized on. Both are great for summer because they are very thin and breezy. On sale for S$20.

Zara

Zara was having a massive end-of-season sale in stores. I love Zara tee-shirts, they are reasonably priced and they fit so well. I got 3 pieces from them, a v-neck white shirt with arrows on them [S$19.90], a tank top with daisies drawn on them [S$19.90], and their infamous cow print shorts [S$49.90]. The cow print shorts are my top buy of the month, they make any outfit look edgy and fashionable.

Mango

I got a very cute oversized navy cardigan which was originally S$45 and was reduced to S$29. It fits really well and looks very cute with a messy top knot. I also got a top made of a thick cotton material with navy trim & a zip at the back. It is a tad big on me but I do like the cutting especially near the chest area. Reduced to S$29 as well.

Stradivarius
I got a set of neon tube tops for S$11.90, original price was S$17.90. I think they will look great under sheer jumpers or as bikini coverups.

ASOS
I got this during June but somehow forgotten about them. The last 2 pieces are both skirts from ASOS. On the right I have a midi length pleat skirt that is sheer thigh down. I think it will look nice with chunky sandal heels. On the right is an aztec skirt from Vila. A very basic piece that is great for school or work. Both are around £11-£12.

That's all guys! Head over to part II if you would like to see me try on the accessories. Cheers!

Love,
Hannah

Urban Decay's New Packaging

Read Article →

Up - Down : New packaging , Old packaging

Hey guys! My all time favourite concealer is without a doubt the Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in shade FBI. For colour reference, I'm around a NC25 in MAC, Revlon ColorStay Foundation 180 Sand Beige. The 24/7 Concealer Pencil comes in a pencil form so you do not need to dip your fingers into concealer pots or squeeze them from tubes.

The formula is extremely creamy and easy to blend. If you guys have not tried it out, I highly recommend it!  I did a review a year ago so check it out here if you are interested!

As you guys can see, the new packaging looks much more modern & flashy. The size and amount of product stays the same, and the consistency and texture remains the same as well. The 24/7 concealer pencil retails for S$28 at Sephora outlets, and in my honest opinion, an amazing concealer that is worth every cent.

You do need a separate sharpener for this pencil, normal sharpeners for pencil eyeliners or eyebrow will not fit. I bought mine from a brand called UBU (sold at Watsons), I know that Nyx has a jumbo sharpener as well. Sephora probably sells one too.

Thank you for reading, and I'll see you guys in my next post! Join my 80 followers giveaway here if you haven't already, 2 days left to the end of the giveaway! Cheers!

Beauty essentials haul | Ardell, Urban Decay, Batiste

Read Article →

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted this week, I got done with my Grandfather's funeral which took place over the past week. He died of old age so it wasn't a sudden death or anything. I didn't really have time to produce any content, so this post will be on a short beauty haul of some essential beauty items I got a week ago.

L - R: Ardell Fashion Lashes Demi Wispies, Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm, Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil, Bastiste Dry Shampoo

Ardell Fashion Lashes Demi Wispies : My favourite lashes to date are these Ardell Demi Wispies lashes. My previous pair of demi wispies came in a blue packaging but I did a side-by-side comparison and they look pretty much the same. Watsons was having a 2 for S$15 promotion and the usual price being S$9.90 each. I thought it was a great discount considering that buying it online would cost around S$6-7. Anyways check out your nearby Watsons if you are interested in Ardell lashes!

Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm : Lip balms are one of those items that disappear into thin air once they are out of your sight, kinda like erasers. So I need to have multiples of them in my different bags, my dresser, my desk etc. The Nivea Soft Rose lip balm has a slight rose scent and is a lovely pastel pink shade but on the lips, it is transparent. I actually prefer the Cherry flavoured one better because it smelt and tasted like cherries.

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in FBI : I actually did a review of it last year (Click here for review). My previous one is almost all gone so I decided to get a new one at Sephora. This is definitely the best concealer I have ever tried, sharpening can be a pain in the ass but the creamy pigmented formula is sure to cover all blemishes and is easy to blend. It retails for S$28 at all Sephora outlets.

Bastiste Dry Shampoo in Floral & Flirty Blush : (Click here for review) I love dry shampoos, they are a great alternative to washing your hair everyday, it keeps oils at bay and helps to fluff up the hair. They used to cost S$6.90 but has doubled the price to S$12.90 with the change to a bigger bottle. I do prefer the Floral & Flirty to the Original fragrance, the scent is not too strong for my liking.

I extracted 3 teeth yesterday as a preparation for braces so my cheeks are like swollen and my gums are all raw. I pretty excited for it actually, although I'm a big scare-dy cat when it comes to dentists. I'll blog my braces journey if you guys are interested. See you in my next post!

Jewelry haul | Lovisa, Stradivarius

L - R : Lovisa Patent Black Collar Necklace, Stradivarius Colourful Gemstone Necklace, Lovisa 5-Set Earrings, Stradivarius Neon Tube Top in Pink & Lime

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well. Today's post is a short and simple jewelry haul, I got these pieces a few days ago. More info will be revealed in my July's fashion haul which will be up very soon. I will try to put them on for you guys in my July's haul.

So I have been on a statement necklace hunt these days. I was never a statement necklace girl, I have no idea why, probably because I didn't have enough confidence to wear them. But I have been loving how statement necklaces really dresses up an outfit, especially gemstone necklaces from Emoda, those are fabulous, and that made me rethink my jewelry choice.

Lovisa Patent Black Collar Necklace : I LOVE collar necklaces, I think it jazzes up plain t-shirts most flatteringly. I like the patented surface of this particular piece, very simple yet classy. It was reduced from S$38 to S$15. Great deal!

Stradivarius Colourful Gemstone Necklace : I went to 2 Stradivarius outlets multiple times to hunt down this piece. I think it looks amazing especially paired with a casual black top giving the outfit a unique pop of colour. I like the shape of it and the colour combination is spectacular. Love this piece to bits! On sale for S$19.90, original price was S$35.90.

Lovisa 5-Set Earrings : Basic gold studs. I am in love with all the designs. Very simple and great for everyday wear, and the best thing is it matches every outfit! Originally S$13, on sale for S$5.  What a steal!

Stradivarius Neon Tube Tops : I was looking for neon tube tops and I know that Bershka carries similar design neon tube tops as well, not too sure about the price. H&M has full length neon tube tops for less than S$20. I think this will look amazing under slightly sheer tops. They were in a set of 2 for S$11.90.

That's all guys. I have a dental appointment tomorrow for braces which I have contemplated of doing for months now I'm one of those who have a phobia of dentist. I finally got the courage to book an appointment so hopefully the process goes by quickly. Fingers crossed that I do not need extractions which I probably will. I'll update you guys then, see you in a few days!

June Fashion Haul | River Island

Read Article →

I have been waiting for my River Island parcel to arrive so I can finally proceed with my June haul which is so overdued. Anywhozzles, I love all of my River Island purchases so hurray for a satisfied customer! Lets cut the chase and get the pictures rolling!

.

 .
River Island

I did a Just Ordered post on these 3 pieces (Click here if you are interested). I bought them during their 48 hours free worldwide shipping deal so the usual shipping fee of £10 was saved.

Grey George Hardinge Pleat Trim Crop Top : This looks amazing on! I was most worried about this piece not fitting right because all sizes were sold out and I had to get a UK14. But since I have broad shoulders, it fitted so nicely on me. It is just slightly loose (I cannot imagine how tight UK10 would be) and the material is amazing. Not forgetting the origami-like pleats which are are so pretty in real life.

It reaches down my belly button so I could easily wear this with some black skinnies/skirt for both work and school. It was reduced from £35 to £17.

River Island Black Skorts : One thing I love about this skorts is that the 'shorts' are totally hidden beneath the 'skirt' both front & back. The quality is amazing, it is a polyester material but not too soft nor too hard. On the tag it says 'Designed & Made in Britain for RI' so kudos to RI for producing such an amazing piece. Great for everyday wear! On sale for £10 original price was £22.

Beige Dog Print Shopper Bag : Super adorable puppy print bag. I have no idea if it is a pug or a bulldog, I'm really bad at dog species so let me know in the comments below. I might give it away as a small prize in future giveaways so if you like it, stay tune! It was £1.

 Lambretta
Lambretta Franco Steel Mesh Watch : I did a short post on it previously (Click here for more pictures). I love the simplicity of it, and I do like the mesh strap, very original and fun. Read the individual post if you are interested in more close-up shots. I bought it for S$80 at Reebonz.

 New Balance

New Balance shoes : I've done walking, running, hiking with these babies on and my feet doesn't feel sore even after 2 hours of continuous walking. They are also very durable, stayed their shape and there are only slight wear and tear on the soles. They retail for S$127 at New Balance outlets. Check out my post for more close-up shots.

That is all folks! Stay tune for July's haul which should be quite interesting. I also have some mini hauls for you guys too. If you have not entered my 80 followers giveaway, click here to do so. I'll see you guys in my next post! Cheers!

EcoTools 6 piece brush set & 5 piece brush set review + which set should you buy

Read Article →

Hey guys! I decided to post a review today since I've been posting too many haul posts. So recently I bought some brush sets from EcoTools. I got the 6 piece brush set and the 5 piece brush set. I will first start off with the 5 piece brush set review then followed by the 6 piece brush set.

*Do note that the pouch is considered as 1 item.

EcoTools 5 piece brush set

L - R : Baby Kabuki, Mineral Powder Brush, Eye Shading Brush, Concealer Brush

Baby Kabuki : I like my powder brushes dense, so I find that this kabuki brush lacks density (too soft therefore it does not grab powder well). The bristles are very smooth and soft so there is absolutely no scratching. I like the size, very travel friendly.

Mineral Powder Brush : Again, it works well for translucent/loose powder, not really that great for foundation powders where you have to buff the powder in circular motions to get a flawless application.

Eye Shading Brush : I like this brush for blending my eyeshadow. Not particularly great for precision because the size of my eyes are so tiny, but it works great for overall blending.

Concealer Brush :  A very basic concealer brush. I would appreciate a smaller concealer brush for a more precise application, but this brush is great for covering redness on the chin and around the nose.

EcoTools 6 piece brush set

L - R : Lash & Brow Groomer, Blush Brush, Eyeliner Brush, Eye Shading Brush, Concealer Brush

Lash & Brow Groomer : Awesome brush. I love the bristles on the brush, not too hard or soft and does not scratch my eyebrow area. The comb portion is pretty basic.

Blush Brush : I do like this blush brush for overall powder application. I use this on occasions where I need fast application because it is pretty wide. If you need precision (when using bright/heavy colours), you may not enjoy this brush as much.

Eyeliner Brush : This brush is too big for my eyes. I find it hard to achieve a thin line as the brush has a thick width. I much prefer using this as a eyebrow brush for brow powders.

Eye Shading Brush : Pretty basic brush although I much prefer my The Face Shop eye shading brush which is smaller and has better control when applying eyeshadow. Since the bristles are synthetic, it does not pick up powder well.

Concealer Brush : Exactly the same as the one in the 5 piece brush set. Not spectacular for covering up individual problem spots but great for concealing redness around bigger areas.

Pros:
1) Environmental Friendly and comes with travel pouch
2) Affordable. Find good deals online and get the brush sets cheaper than in stores.
3) Great for expanding brush collection.
4) Good quality (all their brushes have very soft bristles)

Cons:
1) Not much of a variety, includes very basic brushes

Which brush set should you buy?
I would recommend the 6 piece brush set over the 5 piece brush set. In the 6 piece brush set, you get more brush variety (a blush brush, eyebrow groomer, eyeliner brush) whereas the 5 piece brush set only provide a kabuki and a mineral powder brush which both I feel are ultimately the same (the mineral powder brush is only at most 10% denser). So in the 5 piece brush set you are paying money to get 2 same brushes, therefore makes the set slightly less worth it.

Price: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5
Effectiveness: 3/5
Overall rating: 4/5

Let me know if you have any brushes from EcoTools and if so, which are your favourite brushes. I have to say that my favourite brush from EcoTools would still be their Retractable Kabuki Brush. I'll see you guys in my next post!
