NuffnangX + New Iphone 5 + ShopAnonymousReviews

Read Article →

Hey guys! Oh my gosh I finally jumped onto Apple’s bandwagon and bought the new IPHONE 5! I am so excited to try out the new apps that I just downloaded and the awesome camera that they have especially the panorama feature

Previously I was using HTC Desire, which it is not bad but it didn’t have enough space for large apps like instagram, which is why I didn’t update anymore because I couldn’t update the version (my space was tots maxed out). My 2 years contract was way over so I thought it would be a good time to change a new one.

I bought the white 16GB version!

I will also be attempting to take OOTDs *cross fingers* using the front facing camera and a bunch of random cute stuff that I may see. I don't even have a case for it yet, and the 'screen protector' I'm using is the plastic that comes with it, only that I snipped off the flaps, which is why there seemed to be a crack at the bottom left of the screen. Its just my extremely noob cutting skills.

So anyways, I’ll be updating very often on NuffnangX and Instagram so do follow me there. I like the NuffnangX feature where you can converse with each other and leave lovey dovey messages so do leave some loves for me as well, I would really appreciate that. I am still very new at it and the layout confuses the crap out of me so do pardon any mistakes.

Mole Removal Surgery [Part 3- Recovery at 2.5 months]

Mole Removal Surgery [Part 3- Recovery 2.5 months]

Hey guys! Just a short update on my recovery from the mole removal surgery. If you want to know more information on my entire experience, I’ll link part 1 and part 2 here.

I've receive some emails inquiring about my recovery, so I decided to do a blog post/update about it.

It’s been 2 months (and 2 weeks to be exact) now and the both of my wounds is healing well, they are not painful at all unless I press really hard on it.

The one on my cheek is completely flat, still a little red but nothing a little concealer cannot cover. I hope that the redness can be reduced with time but that is not a problem at all for me.

Lets do a little recapping...

2 days after surgery

3rd week

2 and a half months

[Scar measures 1.1cm]

.

.

.

The one on my arm is more problematic, it has a small bulge (keloid) form similar to those of BCG injections (if you live in Singapore, you probably know what that means, otherwise you may want to Google it). The doctor said it is very common for keloids to form on arms so the next visit he'll give me a steroids jab if the bulge hasn't reduced and it shouldn't be a problem.

2 days after surgery

3rd week

2 and a half months

[Scar measures 0.9cm] It looks big but it really isn't

.

.

.

I am not afraid of needles at all, especially after experiencing the anesthetic jab on my cheek (Read part 1 to read about the jab) which is definitely the most painful jab I've ever experienced in my lifetime of needle jabbing, therefore I don’t think the steroid jab will scare me.

If I have to give a rating for the pain level, I’ll give 1/10 for arm injections (in general), 2/10 for teeth extraction injections and around a 5/10 for the cheek anesthetic injection. I think any injection around the face is going to hurt big time.

All in all, I am very happy with the results, especially the one on my cheek. Again, I highly recommend doing this procedure, it is fast, quite painless and the effects are permanent.

Plastic Surgeon vs Dermatologist
Also, a reader asked me if there is a need to go to a plastic surgeon to get the laser surgery or any dermatologist will suffice. I think that if you go to a good, ‘up-there’ dermatologist, there may be the appropriate equipment for the laser treatment. The derm that I went to did not have the equipment to perform laser surgery so he referred me to a plastic surgeon. So it is more about the availability of the equipment rather than other factors.

I do not encourage going to a beautician to remove any moles larger than 0.3cm or if they are raised because moles may grow to become melanoma (you may want to google about melanoma if you are interested) which is cancerous. If you do not completely remove the entire mole from the roots, there is a chance there it may become melanoma. Especially since beauticians only gets rid of the surface mole area by burning it with acid and it irritates the mole.

Biopsy
I got a biopsy of my 2 moles done by my doctor, and collected the results back the second appointment and thankfully, my moles were safe (but that did not mean that it will not become cancerous in the future so better to remove it first).

Okay so that all guys boy do I talk alot! Hope you enjoyed my little update and I’ll see you guys soon!

Haul! September 2012 – Cotton On, Lovisa, Zara

Read Article →

Hey guys! Another monthly haul again, this time the loots are quite inexpensive which is fantastic and I can’t wait to share them with you guys. And I have to warn you guys first, there are a lot of lace in this ‘episode’.

 .

.

.

Lace Top with Leather Trimming in Deep Green & Blue [Cotton On – SGD$5]

The Cotton On I often frequent is always on sale. Their sale section is always updated, for example I saw the exact same top at full retail price in some outlets and like 1 month later, dirt cheap in mine. So I always make it a point to go there from time to time. Anyways going off-topic, this top is so simple yet so chic. It fits so on so nicely and the leather trimming just adds detailing to the outfit. I always appreciate little details like this. I bought it in 2 colours since I couldn’t decide which one I liked better and it was only 5 bucks so why not? The original retail price is SGD29.90 and I got it in Size S.

Lace Peplum Top in Burgundy/Deep Purple [Cotton On – SGD$10]

This. I. Absolutely. Love! Following the peplum trend which started eons ago, I have been on the lookout for a nice soft peplum top. Now this! Is definitely one that fits my criteria. In the store it looked kind of a maroon, burgundy colour but it is more of a deep purple. I bought it in XS as it was the only size available. It looks really nice on, the pictures does not do it any justice. There is also a functional zipper at the back perfect for me because a klutz like me will rip the delicate lacing. I’ll do an OOTD if I’m able to some day! Original retail price SGD29.90 as well.

 .

.

.

Zara Navy Nautical Stripe Shorts [Zara – USD$19.99]

I initially wanted to order the trousers version of this which has red stripes but it was totally sold out within a night. So I had to go for the shorts instead. I actually really like the texture of it, very different from normal jean shorts. And I do like the frayed edges as well. The only complaint I have is that it is very short, like a hot pants short, it cuts right under my bum so I may have to wear something over to cover a little on the back. I got it in UK10.

 .

.

.

Lovisa Rose Gold Watch + Double Cross Necklace [Watch – SGD$38, Necklace – SGD$17]

These 2 items were already featured in previous posts so I shall not talk much about them. The Lovisa Rose Gold Watch is a cheaper alternative to Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch which I have been eyeing for ages but not willing to spend 300 bucks for it. It looks very pretty and for SGD$38, it isn’t too bad.

 .

.

.

And for the double cross necklace, I have been matching it with almost all outfits I’m sporting each day.  It is a very thin dainty necklace that gets tangled so easily. Oh my gosh like every single time I wear it I have to spend 5 mins untangling it. But other than that, a lovely necklace. I haven’t been able to find a jewelry store, online or physical, which sells this kind of pieces. I don’t really wear that much accessories on a day to day basis much rather statement ones, which is all I can see in jewelry boutiques these days.
