Just Ordered | PUMA + ASOS

1. ASOS Vero Moda Very Sheer Midi Skirt- I needed a pair versatile skirt that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Midi length skirts/dresses is a big trend this season and I love the pleat details on this dress especially the wavy hem.

2.  Vila Printed Mini Skirt - Just a very basic aztec print bodycon skirt. I think this is a nice casual everyday piece that will spice up any outfit.

3. Puma 917 Lo Popart - Inspired by the works of Roy Lichtenstein, this shoe looks as though popped out from a comic book. This is such a great conversational piece! I bought this via Singsale and they are still available right now if you guys are interested.

That's all guys! Let me know if those shoes are a hit or a miss for you, for me it is definitely a hit. Click on the links to have a closer look. Please note that you have to sign up with Singsale to view their items. I'll see you guys in my next post! Cheers!

Outfit | Getting ready for a zombie apocalyspe

Read Article →

Jacket: FOX / Bottom: FOX Jeans / Bag: Vintage

Hey guys! I've been really uninspired to do beauty related posts these days since I haven't been buying/trying a lot of beauty products. But as for now, please bear with my fashion posts.

I watched Warm Bodies over the past weekend and can I say that I am ready for a zombie apocalypse if zombies looked like 'R' (the main character)? I loved the movie and the entire cast, extremely well made and put together. There is romance, action and drama all at once so I highly encourage anyone who hasn't watched it to catch it on big screen now.

Okay so on to today's outfit, which is inspired from the movie. In the movie R always wears a red hoodie so I paired my red hoodie from FOX with some boyfriend jeans from FOX as well, and added a ripped top. I threw in some dirty old sneakers to complete the 'zombie apocalypse' vibe. I hope you guys liked it and I'll see you guys in my next post! Cheers!

Just Ordered | River Island

Read Article →

I ordered these 2 items from River Island at like 3am in the morning. They caught my eyes the moment I saw them and I just HAD to get them no matter what. So I purchased them from River Island which was my first time purchasing directly, and the delivery charge was flat rate at £10 equivalent to $20. These 2 items sold out FAST, I had to get a UK6 for the daisy jumper because it sold out of my size (UK8) when I was checking out my cart. How crazy is that!

River Island is having a sale right now so do check it out if you're interested. They have some really awesome stuff on clearance and I'm kind of regretting it now that I only got 2 items. I'll update you guys on the delivery and all. The 2 items are sold out now but may come back in stock (that usually happens). See you guys in my next post! Cheers!

February/March Haul | Lovisa, Newlook

Read Article →

Hey guys! I didn't do a monthly haul last month since I only bought 2 pieces of jewelry so this month's haul will be a collective haul over the past 2 months which is just more pieces of jewelries *Yikes!

February was one of those months where I have absolutely no inspiration for clothing and I just did not fell in love with any clothes I saw during shopping trips. What a bummer! Resulting in me now experiencing a slight shopping withdrawal disease, symptoms which includes refreshing ASOS and River Island every friggin' hour and still not seeing anything I like.

 1. Cross Necklace from Nasty Gal. I love that the necklace is in a very crisp white silver so it sparkles slightly under the sunlight. The details on the chain are to die for. A must buy for me!

2. Spike Studded Necklace from Nasty Gal. I adjusted the length of the necklace and did a post on shortening jewelry chain. This is the perfect length for me in my opinion, maybe a little shorter will do and I love to pair this with outfits to give it a strong/masculine look.

 3. Gold Geometric necklace from Lovisa. I featured this in my previous post. It was on sale for $9 from the original $20. I love that this is a dainty yet complex piece that I dare to pair it with many everyday outfits because I tend to stray away from heavy statement pieces.

 4. Long necklace with Gold Tassels also from Lovisa. On sale for $9, originally $22. I think this piece would be great with a long knitted cardigan or a maxi dress. I have always been a fan of long necklaces and this is a great addition to my collection. Both pieces should still be available in stores.

5. Arrow Rhine-stoned necklace from Accessorize. I got this necklace for $5 when Accessorize was having a 70% clearance sale. I thought that this necklace was very House Of Harlow 1960 inspired when they came out with arrow jewelry and I do like it a lot!

  6. Loafers/ Flats from Newlook via Singsale. I got this for $14 when Singsale had a Newlook event which is already over boo! I remembered seeing the exact same pair of shoes in stores for $60 full retail price and I really liked it then. I have a few pairs of shoes that are already pass their wearable life so this shall replace my most worn shoes.

I hope you guys enjoyed this small haul and I will see you again soon in my next post! If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to leave them in the comments below or email me at ar_enquiry@hotmail.com, they will be replied as soon as possible. Thank you guys for reading!

Love,
Hannah

Snips and Bits #5 - Lovisa Jewellery

Read Article →

I got 2 Lovisa jewelry during a shopping trip 2 days ago. They are having a Easter sale so if you're interested in any of the 2 pieces, I think they may still be available. I thought I would give you guys a little look first because I am so stoked that I got this 2 pieces, I absolutely adore them to bits. I will upload photos of these pieces on myself and should be up in my coming March haul.

Both necklaces match almost everything in my wardrobe and was on sale for $9 each which I though was a pretty good deal (original price was $20+). Fortunately, no unpleasant incidents occurred. I'll see you guys in my next post! Cheers!

Just Ordered | Stylemint

Read Article →

Dress: Vaneza Dress in Tribal Print / Skirt: Tristen Skirt in Blue / Trousers: Tribeca Pants in Heather Grey / All from Stylemint

I just placed an order for the above items from Stylemint via Singsale. I'm sure you guys have heard of Stylemint before, if you haven't you totally should! Stylemint is an exclusive apparel collection designed by celebrity Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. What differs Stylemint from other celebrity brands is that Stylemint offers affordable clothes in casual, everyday styles, nothing too grand or out of our comfort zone. I have been a fan of the Olsen twins for as long as I can remember, they are always very fashionable and their style is very fresh and interesting. Sadly Stylemint isn't available outside the United States and Canada so there is no way for me to buy more styles! I'm sure most of the items I ordered are still available at Singsale since I just checked out an hour before. Can't wait for my order to arrive!

Coordinate #2

Bottom: Forever 21 / Shoes: Dr Martens / Purse: River Island

My kind of everyday school outfit. The weather has been terrible here in Singapore, scorching one moment and storm in the next. Everyone needs a pair of these Dr. Martens Adrian Tassle Loafers, they are very stylish but a tad too heavy. And another essential for school days would be my iPod Nano 6th gen, I listen to it during long bus rides and I need a shot of Coldplay everyday to keep me sane. Sorry for the short posts,  I'll see you guys in my next one, cheers!

Coordinate #1

Blouse: Cotton On / Bottom: Forever 21 / Shoes: Payless

I am really inspired recently to do more fashion related posts. I blame it on my daily obsession with fashion blogs which I tend to be easily influenced by current styles they sport. And behold, my take on the monochrome fashion. Monochrome styles are very chic and sophisticated, and also, a huge challenge for me. I'm playing with greys in the above outfit. Greys aren't my best friends in humid weathers but a staple colour in everyone's wardrobe. See you guys in my next post!

A present for myself – Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s White

Read Article →

Hey guys! So I got the Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s polariod camera as an advanced present for my birthday coming up. I feel that I need to start documenting all the important moments of my life. Digital cameras aren’t really the same, and I feel that having a real physical photo that I can hold in my hand is much more satisfying.

Polaroid cameras especially the Fujifilm one has been a huge trend lately and many of my friends has them. I want to make it a habit to capture important life moments so I can look back one day and go ‘oh yeah, that was fun’ and facebook just isn’t the same. I feel that I don’t take enough pictures of myself, and sometimes events just pass by without noticing and it’ll be cool if I have something to look back.

I plan to start doing a notice board and pin all the Polaroid photos that I am going to be taking over the years.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s White retails for SGD$159 at Harvey Norman outlets which is where I got mine.  I think they are available at almost all electronics store and even online.

I will post any interesting photos I take with my Polaroid camera on my Instagram so go follow me on there if you’re interested. I’ll maybe make another post when the film arrives so I’ll see you guys in my next post!

Acnes Metholatum Medicated Nose Pore Strips

Review for Acnes Metholatum Medicated Nose Pore Strips

Hey guys! Remember in my Biore Black Pore Pack review I stated that I got these Acnes Metholatum Medicated Nose Pore Strips? I’ve tried it multiple times and below are my two cents on the product.

These pore strips are packaged very similarly to the Biore Pore Packs which I have done a review earlier on. Each packet contains 10 pore strips but unlike the Biore Black Pore Pack which is black in colour, the Acnes Metholatum Medicated Nose Pore Strips are white in colour.

Application is exactly the same as the Biore Black Pore Pack. Please note that the nose has to be wet entirely, in my opinion the more wet the nose area is, the better the pore strip adheres. I always splash the area with water and apply the strip immediately.

 Start time:

End time:

Results:

Pros:

Very simple application, the main point of applying pore strips is to remember to wet the area entirely. If you have a problem with pore strips not adhering properly, you did not use enough water. I nearly cried peeling off my pore strips when I applied way too much water once.

It does contain a nice medicated scent, nothing overly strong. After application it does leave the skin slightly warm.

Individually packaged to keep the product fresh.

Cons:
The strip does not contain any ‘flaps’ as I like to call them, so they don’t really fit nicely on the nose, since all nose shapes are different. The Biore pore strips has flaps and I think that these flaps are vital to help the strip adhere to the crannies of the nose, similar to face masks in a sense.

'Flaps' on Biore Black Pore Strip

I actually dislike the fact that the strip is white in colour. White pore strips makes your extracted dirt camouflage into the background. I had a hard time finding pores that were extracted and had an even harder time capturing with my camera.

Did it perform as well as the Biore pore strips? Sadly no, I was quite disappointed with the amount of dirt it extracted, I feel that the Biore ones managed to extract more gunk, or maybe it was because of the colour of the strips that made it seem that the Biore ones extracted more? Hmm.. You guys be the judge then!

Yadda Yadda:

You can buy the Acnes Metholatum Medicated Nose Pore Strips at pharmacies, NTUCs etc. They are around the same price as the Biore Pore Strips, you can get them ranging from $4-$5. Will I repurchase? Probably not, the Biore Pore Pack adheres better to the shape of my nose and I feel that it extracted more dirt from my pores.

Price: 3/5
Effectiveness: 2/5 (a little disappointing compared to other pore strips)
Packaging: 5/5
Overall rating: 3/5

Have you tried any brands of pore strips? Which ones do you like best? Tell me in the comments below! For me I definitely prefer the Biore Black Pore strips best!
