May Fashion Haul | Zara, River Island

Hi guys! Today's post is my May fashion haul! If you are new here, I do these monthly fashion posts where I share in my blog what I bought throughout the month. Please note that I am not trying to brag here I just really like the idea of sharing styles and I enjoy reading other fashion blogger's haul posts. It is always very interesting to see different fashion styles of people.

River Island

I'll first start off with my River Island purchases. I got this amazing denim jacket from the men's section in the River Island sale for £15. I am really liking oversized denim jackets and it can be quite hard to find oversized denim jackets without it being too boxy and stretches your frame out yet stays within my budget. I love this denim jacket because the material is really soft so it falls nicely on the shoulder without making it look too bulky like normal denim jackets do. I got it in XXL because it was the only size available left. I may have to get it altered shorter because the length is quite overwhelming considering I'm a womens UK10.

I also got a black waterfall jacket from River Island in a size UK10. It was reduced to £20. The only thing I didn't like about this jacket is that the shoulder pads are a little too stiff and makes the jacket look way too formal for my preference. But other than that, I love the fall of the jacket and zipper details. The fall when unzipped is amazing. It doesn't look as stiff as it looks in the picture, when unzipped the jacket just drapes on the body nicely. The jacket is really lightweight as well since it is made from polyester.

If you have seen my previous outfit post (click here if you haven't seen it), this dark long denim skirt from River Island was featured in it. I got it in UK8 since River Island bottoms usually runs a size or two bigger. I am a UK10-12 in Newlook but a UK8 bottom in River Island fits be better. It was on sale for £12.

H&M

From H&M I got 2 items, a neon coral lace tee-shirt and a white tank top with zipper details. I featured the neon coral lace tee in my outfit post as well. I really like the colour, it brightens up any outfit. It was on sale for S$9.90. As for the white tank top, there is a zip through detailing at the back surprise surprise! The tank top is made out of soft cotton and gives a nice flow. It should still be available in stores now and retails for S$19.90.

Zara / Forever21

Lastly, I made a trip to Zara and got this amazing aztec tribal bodycon skirt with neon piping. I absolutely love this piece, I have it in Medium and it was S$35.90. The skirt is from the trafaluc and since Zara changes styles almost every week, it may not be available in stores anymore but there are still similar aztec styles sold at Zara.
