Review for LA Girl Luxury Creme' Lipstick in LC536 Secret Admirer

I am recently on a pale baby pink lip colour craze? Fetish? I find that light pink lipsticks complements my skin colour really well. And after watching misschaigyaru video on Top ten lip products, I was bent on finding some of the lip products to try. One of the lip products was LA Girl’s LC536 Secret Admirer and it looked SO AMAZING on her!! In my previous post on Mini LA Girl Haul, I promised a review and here it is!

Pros:

The Lipstick is extremely pigmented. It covered my darker, more pigmented upper lips, giving it a candy pink shade which I love. The price is fairly cheap, for where to find cheap LA Girl products please read my previous post here. The smell is kinda nice I guess… sort of a sweet scent + rubber? I have a weird liking for smell so yea. It is A beautiful pink shade that complements girls with fairer skin tones. Is the lipstick moisturising? I would have to say a medium. It did feel moisturising on the lips but it did dry out my sensitive lips after wearing it a couple of hours without a lip balm under. I suggest wearing a lip balm under the lipstick for people with sensitive & dry lips like myself.  Lasting power would have to be 2-3 hours, when drinking the lipstick fades off but it does leave a pink stain on the lips which I like. 

Cons:

The colour range for nudes and pinks are really small, I think there are no nudes in the collection? Forbidden Love is more of a coral mauve than nude. There are many reds though, which is quite disappointing for a baby pink lover like me. I thought the colour was going to be a pale baby pink shade but it is not! It is definitely more of a bright candy pink shade. I dab the lipstick on my lips to make it more wearable. Beautiful shade nonetheless, complements my skin tone as well. It is not very buildable because if I apply too many layers, it becomes streaky and moves around on the lips, it cakes up in the cracks too. I just apply a thin layer or dab it on my lips for a light candy pink shade.

Read my previous post for where you can find LA Girl cosmetics in Singapore. Guardian also sells them but they are at a pricier side. I paid SGD$8 for my lipstick. Will I repurchase? YES YES YES! The colour is my ultimate love! I will try to go back on of these days to Chinatown to get them. Hope the sale is still on! Do you guys own this lipstick? Go try it out! Tell me your thoughts! 

A/N: After I bought my 5 Nyx lipsticks which are all well-known baby pinks in the market, I do think that LA Girl Secret Admirer is a definite 100% must buy! The quality is good, the pigmentation is good and it does not feel cheap at all. I’ve already repurchase 2 more Secret Admirer in my Watsons and Guardian Haul.

Watsons and Guardian Haul! More LA Girl & Face Mask!

Hey Hey Hey! I’m back with another haul! Made a trip down to my local Shopping Mall and did some cheap makeup hunting and market research maybe? Heh! I’m trying to find more beauty products so that I can review on this blog. It’s something I got to know recently after establishing this blog that I really enjoy doing reviews. Even if it takes up a lot of time (1 hour for writing the review, 1 hour for taking and watermarking pictures) and I also need to proofread and check for any missing points. I am naturally a really slow writer and a huge technology newb, so please pardon any little errors here and there. 

Tell me how I got so side tracked, okay on to the haul. 

I went to Watsons first and there were nothing interesting to be honest, no discounts, and no new products. Oh! Talking about new products, Dolly Wink eyelashes are sold in Watsons now. Not sure about the price though (not stated on products or shelves), should be around SGD$20 to SGD$30. I’m not really onto the Dolly Wink hype, I think it’s absurdly overpriced, and for the same price there are probably better quality products out there. I heard the eyelashes are really pretty so I’m quite tempted to try. Sponsor me Dolly Wink? Meh, don’t think they will. 

-Side tracked again!!! Someone hit me please-

Okay so I couldn’t find anything I wanted at Watsons and yet I didn’t want to leave empty handed so I bought face masks that were on sale for SGD$2 (original price $4 approx). Then I went to Guardian and I my eyes went from ‘o.o’ to ‘O.O!’ LA Girl cosmetics were on sale! They weren’t on sale but I think kinda like closing down sale? because the remaining products were so limited (only lipsticks and pencil eyeliners left) the thought kinda flew into my head. I’m guessing Guardian does not import LA Girl products anymore, just like how they stopped importing NYX products. Therefore the remaining unsold LA Girl Products are sold at such cheap prices. BUT!! I may be wrong.  

So I was like ‘YAAHHOOO’ and grabbed 2 more of my favourite LA Girl LC536 Secret Admirer lippy which I will do a review later on. I also bought 2 LA Girl Pencil Eyeliners in P601 Black and P602 Brown-Black. Lipstick cost SGD$10 and eyeliner cost SGD$5 each. Pretty. Freaking. Amazing. Right?! So now all you peeps know about this sale, get off your chair and go snag some cheap makeup now!

Mini LA Girl Haul + People’s Park OCEAN store chitchat!

Yesterday I had nothing to do and was really bored at home. So I tagged along with my mum and she drove us to People’s Park around Chinatown where everyday supplies are really cheap there. I bought my LA Girl cosmetics at this shop called OCEAN. If I am not wrong it is at level 3. Stuffs there are pretty cheap! The building is beside OG and had the big PEOPLE’s PARK sign on it.

The shop also carries VOV products. VOV is a famous Korean cosmetic brand, similar to nature republic, etude house, the face shop, etc. Their VOV products range around SGD$7.90 for a lipliner to SGD$22 for a lipgloss. I didn’t take much notice of the foundation because there were SO many people and their display of cosmetics is quite messy.

BUT! BUT! BUTT! I noticed something strange there! I saw that they sell the Skin 79 Beblesh Balm Hot Pink at the store and that caught my attention. I took it up and the pump was all weird and the prints on the bottle were all faded and messed up. The first thought that came into my head was that it was a fake one because I’m using the same BB cream and the pump does NOT look like that! It cost SGD$35.90 so do be careful of the products you are buying there and beware of fake cosmetics/skin care products.

Okay onto LA Girl cosmetics, quite a large range, I checked the expiry date of the cosmetics and it was good. Below are the products I bought.

BOO! Only 2 items?! Yeah. As I said earlier my mum was with me so I couldn’t spend like 50 bucks on cosmetics. I bought a watch earlier too so I was kinda tight on budget. The lipstick I bought was LC536 Secret Admirer and BL554 Blushing for blush. The blush looks more baby pink than in photos, the shade is similar to the shade of the lipstick but less bright. I heard that the lipstick Secret Admirer was a really cute baby pink shade so I bought it but I swatched it and it looks more like a candy pink shade. Product reviews will be done as soon as I have time to test and try out. The blush was kind of an impulse purchase but hey, there’s no such thing as too much makeup yea?

I wanted to post this haul for you guys because the price is soooooo GOD DAMN appealing!!! The Lipstick was SGD$10 and the blush was SGD$15. I was like WHUTTTT! I’m pretty sure the last time I saw the lipstick prices at Guardian Pharmacies they were like SGD$19.90 each. Crazy, isn’t it? Then I went to the cashier to pay and it came out to be SGD$21! HOMG there’s even a discount! The Lipstick was SGD$8 and the blusher was SGD$12 after the discount. What a deal!

I checked the authenticity of the LA Girls but I can’t find any information on fake LA Girls cosmetics so I’m guessing it’s real? I know LA Girl is an inexpensive cosmetic brand so I presume it is logical for the cheap price. But all in all, I will use in caution and update you guys on the products and maybe write a review on them.
