Review for Etude House Miss Tangerine Lipstick
in No. 1 Pink and No. 4 Orange
Hey guys! I
will be reviewing the Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips lipsticks in
both shades number 1 Pink and number 4 Orange. They both retail for S$17.90
each at Etude House stores. There are quite a number of shades but the ones
that caught my eyes are the baby pink shade of
course and the bright orange shade.
Pros:
Please note
that no.1 pink contains silver shimmers but unless you observe closely, you probably will not notice it. The
orange lip colour does not contain any shimmers. The Miss
Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips line comes in 5 shades, they are
all very wearable and suitable for everyday looks. I dab on my orange lipstick
to make it more wearable for work
and school. I love how it looks on my lips!
If you are
looking for a stark orange lipstick, I highly recommend this. I think fair
skinned girls will look fabulous with orange lips. My lips are reddish
originally and the orange in this lipstick neutralizes and becomes a nice orange coral shade that is very
wearable and too not in-your-face orange,
so do not worry about that.
The
packaging is really interesting. The
twisty side exposes 1-2mm of product with several twists, and it is not
retractable, so please do not twist the whole product and try to retract the
product, it will not work. I do like the packaging though, it protects the
product from breaking. I love how the opening is a little slanted instead of flat, it makes application a lot better.
Cons:
I find the
price to be a bit exorbitant for a
lipstick. S$17.90 is a little pricey for such a small lipstick. And for the
price I did not think that the texture or consistency was any more amazing than
other lip products.
The pink
lipstick leaves silver glitter
behind on the lips after removing (often happens with lip glosses with silver
glitters) therefore I am not a big fan of the pink lip colour.
The product does slip and slide a little on the lips like certain lip glosses do and they are slightly sticky after application. The stickiness subsides a little after 15 minutes. On my dry cracked lips, they do emphasize lip lines.
Since it is
on the sheer, glossy side of the lipstick spectrum, the lasting power is not as good as a traditional lipstick with a drier
formula.

Verdict:
Etude House
Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips lipstick line are available at all Etude House
outlets. They retail at S$17.90 each. I do recommend them if you are
looking for natural looking shades, or even to try out their highly raved orange lipstick! Follow Etude House facebook page for occasional 20% off storewide!
