Also, just a side note, I may have a third section on my blog called ‘Blogsale’ selling away skincare, cosmetics & clothing some new, some used once or twice. Because I have tons and tons of beauty products that I buy on impulse and they either do not suit my skin or I have no use for them at all (for e.g. hair serums, cleanser, nail polishes).

I do have a few MAC products that I would love to find a new home for them.

I am not sure if you guys mind that so if you have any feedbacks or suggestions you can also leave them in the comments below.

As always, feel free to email me at ar_enquiry@hotmail.com to ask about almost anything, I do reply to all emails. Thank you guys for your continuous support towards this blog, I will do my best to keep improving  this humble space :)

Review on Tony Moly Tony Tint Cherry Pink Lip Tint

Hey guys, long time no chat! I’ve been really busy since school started so I have been lacking on updating this blog. I will be on track soon so hopefully you guys can bear with me for a while.

Today’s review will be on Tony Moly’s lip tint in cherry pink. I’m sure you guys have heard tons and tons of reviews on them, most reviews raving about them. I bought it last year or even earlier (I have done a haul on it earlier, read it here for more info about price) but did not use it regularly. The lip tint I tend to reach out for is my Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint. I’ll do a couple of comparisons between the 2.

Firstly the stain comes out as a dark blood red colour. After blending it in, it becomes a cool reddish pink shade. The tint can be used on the lips or cheek

With 1 swipe of product (below)

Lightly blended (below)

Fully blended (below)

Here are some pictures side by side comparison between Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint in Red and Tony Moly Tony Tint in Cherry Pink.

One swipe of product (below)

Fully blended. Notice their slightly different undertones. (below)

Pros:
The colour is more vibrant, darker as shown in the pictures. Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint dries almost instantly with a swipe onto the hand and has a warmer undertone to it. Tony Moly Lip Tint’s applicator deposits more product onto the lips therefore requires blending using fingers. Even after blending it out, the colour remains very vibrant.

The stain stays on for a long time as compared to other lip tints. Using a regular makeup remover will not remove the stain entirely. It is best to use a lip makeup remover. If you are looking for a long lasting lip tint, this is your ultimate choice.

Cons:
As you guys can tell, I have used it only a couple of times to test the product out. I have extremely dry and sensitive lips, anything I put on my lips dries it out completely, even some lip balms. This lip tint especially, dries out my lips so bad so I can’t use it too often.

Furthermore, I’m not sure if I am the only one that experiences it but when I apply the product onto my lips initially, it stings my lips for a little while. I haven’t read a review that states that so it may be due to my sensitive lips.

I find that Tony Moly Lip Tint seeps into the cracks of my lips and when that happens, it is very hard to blend out. Most lip tints do that but since the Tony Moly lip tint has such a strong colour, it accentuates the cracks even more.

Just like any other lip tints, Tony Moly Lip Tint has a slight bitter cherry chemical taste, which some dislike.

Too bad for me, as I may have to use this lip tint as a cheek tint instead :'(

Yadda Yadda:

I you prefer more of a stronger look, want your lip tint to last forever and do not have sensitive lips, I highly recommend the Tony Moly Lip Tint.

If you have dry, sensitive lips that crack, or prefer a more natural look, I will not recommend the Tony Moly Lip Tint. Maybe go for a softer lip tint such as the Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint or Etude House’s ones.

Packaging: 4/5

Price: 4/5 (I think I paid SGD12.34)

Effectiveness: 4/5 (Extremely long lasting but very drying)

Overall rating: 4/5

A/N: I haven’t done a makeup product review in such a long time so I was very excited doing this post, I hope you guys enjoyed it as well as I did!

Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint

Review for Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint

What’s up everyone! Today I’m going to review the Nature Republic Stain Girl’s Tint in red (blue bottle) and pink (pink bottle). I bought them during my recent Malaysia trip which you can read here. Nature Republic is a Korean brand similar to Etude House, Tony Moly, Holika Holika, The Face Shop and etc. Their price range is pretty affordable; I find the brand’s skincare to be on the pricier side compared to their makeup.

There are a total of 3 shades. The red (blue bottle) has a more coral colour compared to the pink (pink bottle). There is one more orange colour which I did not buy because orange doesn’t really suit my skin tone that well.

Irresistibly cute design (above)

 Swatches!

Mini lip swatch
Sorry for the really chapped lips, my lips gets ridiculously dry at times.

Pros:

As shown in the swatches above, colour is extremely beautiful and wearable and stains the lips for a long time around 3 hours with drinking before significant fading occurs. Texture feels like water, really smooth and cooling when applied to the lips. Does not feel heavy or sticky like lipsticks and glosses, in fact; it feels like you have nothing on.

Product comes with a doe-foot applicator for easy application. Size of the bottle is decent. Product does contain a pleasant cherry fragrance so people who are sensitive to scents are warned. The stain is very affordable.

Cons:

It is extremely drying! That happens to a lot of lip stains which is the excessive drying of lips. And unlucky me, who has the most sensitive lips that cracks and flakes with ANYTHING on my lips. It is unfortunate. There is lip balm, but I have to keep reapplying to prevent my lips from drying out! So I will not recommend it to girls with sensitive lips like mine.

Since the lip stain’s texture is similar to water, it tends to seep into the lines and emphasizes cracks on lips. I find myself having to blend the stain quickly before it dries into the fine lines.

It has a horrible taste! The tint tastes bitter (similar to chemicals) initially and then the bitterness disappears and has a cherry aftertaste. It is kinda a weird experience. Even after the stain has dried, the taste still lingers so if you are put off by tastes in products, I will not recommend it.

Yadda Yadda:

I purchased the 2 lip tints at a Nature Republic store at Malaysia. They cost me around SGD$6. For a more detailed price list please read. Will I repurchase? Yes. Have you guys tried any other brands of lip stains? Do recommend me some!

Packaging: 5/5
Application: 5/5
Effectiveness: 4/5 (-1 for drying effect)
Lasting power: 4/5
Price: 5/5
Overall ratings: 4.5/5

Malaysia Haul: Tony Moly, Nature Republic, Etude House, Watsons

Malaysia Haul: Tony Moly, Nature Republic, Etude House, Watsons

Hey guys! First up, I am sooo sooo sooo sorry for not posting in such a long time. I was really busy with exams, projects and problems in life that I just didn’t have time to prepare pictures and all. I am back now for a short while before some more exams and then a long holiday which I will make sure to stay extremely active on this blog.

I went to Malaysia with a few friends to the nearby City Square Mall for a short shopping spree and just to relax from all the exams. It is a little complicated going through customs so do go with a friend who is experienced in such. Maybe I can do a customs walkthrough ‘how-to’ kinda post just to benefit readers who are going through customs the first time.

Okay to be honest I went kind of crazy with purchasing makeup products, the prices in Malaysia are fairly cheaper compared to purchasing them in Singapore. As usual I will do a separate review on the individual items after I have tried them out (reviews are out! Links at end of post). I will list all of the product names and prices below.

Bags of goooodies! I didn't get Etude House's bag because the sales girl was soooo slow and i was like, forget it, i don't need any bag anyways.

I finally got my hands on Rimmel Pink Blush lipstick, it is not available in Singapore though! I wished there was Airy Fairy but there wasn't. My desk is super messy at the moment so sorry for the really compressed shot!

The Biore Remover Wipes couldn't fit into the frame, so it has an individual shot.

I am not sure how cheap they are compared to Singapore prices because I haven’t really seen some of the items before in Singapore. So if you do know any product prices in sg, feel free to leave it in the comments below.

SGD to RM exchange rate: 2.43 (Malaysia money changer rate)
SGD to RM exchange rate: 2.47 (Exact currency exchange rate)
RM = Malaysian Currency

Tip: change your money in Singapore for a higher rate as compared to changing it in Malaysia. Money changers will charge a lower exchange rate for their own money (to rip tourist’s cash) as you have to change for local money if you are in that country, if it makes any sense. I changed my money in Malaysia as it was too early and money changers in Singapore open really late.

Nature Republic:
Stain Girl’s Tint Red: RM$15.22 (SGD$6.26)
Stain Girl’s Tint Pink: RM$15.22
Nail Design Stickers (buy 2 get 1 free promo): RM$5.90 each (SGD$2.42 each)

Tony Moly:
Tony Tint Cherry Pink: RM$29.90 (SGD$12.34)
Kiss Lover Lip Stick PK01: RM$39.90 (SGD$16.46)

Etude House:
Blue Matte nail polish: RM$9.90 (SGD$4.07)
Pink nail polish: RM$4.75 (SGD$1.95)
Super Sun SPF 35 (10% discount): RM$29.90 (before discount) (SGD$12.30)
                                                                  : RM$26.95 (after discount) (SGD$11.09)

Watsons:
Rimmel Lipstick in 006 Pink Blush: RM$17.90 (SGD$7.36)
Biore Makeup Remover Wipes: RM$28 (SGD$11.50) *SG Watsons price: SGD$16.50

I lost some of the receipts so some prices are approximations. Have a great day! :D Feel free to leave comments; I will try to answer all of them!
