Review for Elf Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15 in Peaceful Pink

Today I am going to do a review on Elf Conditioning Lip Balm in peaceful pink. I have been really wanting to try it out after reading many positive review and beautiful swatches. And I finally got my hands on it! Love it, Hate it? Read more to find out!

With flash (below)

Pros:

Beautiful warm pink colour with a tint of coral in it. Absolutely gorgeous colour and added bonus of an Spf of 15. Great colour for any season especially for the summer and a very convenient 2 in 1 product. According to the website of the product description, this product is more of tinted balm but it is extremely pigmented, texture feels more like a lipstick. It is less watery compared to a traditional lip balm but the colour payoff is excellent. Its kinda lies in between a lipstick and a lip balm. I will highly recommend this balm to people who has pigmented lips. Another plus is that the product is very affordable.

Lasting power is okay, similar to a normal lipstick 2-3 hours without eating. It smells like sweet candies and taste like berries, the scent is pretty amazing.  It can be drying so remember to use a lip balm under the product.

Cons:

Unhygienic as you have to dip finger into the pot or use a spatula which is time consuming when you are on-the-go or rushing for time. I use my fingers as lips do not have pores and wouldn’t get clog and stuff so I really don’t mind. But! If you are using your fingers do take note that nails are very prone to scrap the product. It is the way the container is made in my opinion.

Container is a little deceiving as the amount of product you get is much lesser than the huge plastic container. But for the price it is a reasonable amount. That leads to the next point which is that the container is too excessively large making the product so bulky and not travel-friendly at all. I just don’t get it, what is the excess plastic for anyways? You would be surprise how gigantic this product is.

Yadda Yadda:
Anyway, it is a good product so I will definitely repurchase. Net weight 0.26 oz/ 7.5g. USD$3.00 on eyeslipsface.com. Have you guys tried it yet? Tell me your thoughts!

Packaging: 2.5/5
Pigmentation: 4.5/5
Lasting power: 4/5
Price: 5/5
Overall rating: 4/5

Collective Haul: MAC, Elf, Stila, Neutrogena

Read Article →
Hey guys! I’m back for another haul post! This is kinda a collective haul as products are all bought on different days. I did splurge a little on the MAC cosmetics, they were quite expensive actually, so I will probably curb my temptations to spend this month. I bought all my MAC cosmetics from maccosmetics.com and they did take awhile to reach me (around 1-1.5 months). I am not really a MAC fanatic; they cost quite a lot in stores here, sometimes even double the prices in the US so I’m a little meh about spending the extra buck.

I bought my Stila eyeshadow trio from allcosmeticswholesale.com which is a website selling discounted authentic branded cosmetics such as brands like NARS, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Smashbox etc. This Stila eyeshadow trio retails for USD$28 at Sephora and costs only USD$10 at allcosmeticswholesale.com. So it is great deal if you can find a good spree organizer.

I've seen many positive reviews on both the Elf Mineral Eyeshadow Primer and Eyelid Primer from both the mineral line and essential line respectively. The Mineral Eyeshadow Primer is rated 4.2/5 on Makeupalley and the Eyelid Primer 3.7/5. I've decided to put both up to the test and will reveal the results soon! There were many negative reviews for the Elf Studio line Eye Primer and Liner Sealer so I didn't bother to get that one.
Have you guys tried any of these products? Love them, hate them? Leave them in the comments below! I will be doing separate reviews on them so do stay tune!
